Organoids: Small Laboratory Models with Big Potential for Medical Research

Understanding how diseases develop has always been one of the biggest challenges in medicine. Traditional cell cultures and animal models have helped researchers for decades, but they cannot always replicate how human organs respond to diseases or new treatments. This is where organoids are making a significant difference.

Organoids are tiny three-dimensional tissues grown from stem cells that closely resemble human organs. Scientists have developed organoids that mimic the brain, liver, lungs, kidneys, intestines, and other organs, allowing researchers to study complex biological processes in a more realistic laboratory environment.
